Copper clad steel ground rods are a key component in an electrical grounding installation which dissipates any fault current safely into surrounding ground and helps prevent damage to facility, equipment and shock hazards to people and livestock in vicinity. Copper clad steel ground rods are also used to control voltage distribution in the ground for step and touch voltage mitigation.

The copper clad steel ground rods are manufactured from high strength steel which allows the rods to be driven deep into ground. The thickness of the copper layer is minimum 10 mil for all UL Listed rods which also ensures adequate corrosion protection for the rod.

Ground rods of lengths 2 and 3 feet are UL Listed and qualified consistently for coating thickness, adhesion and bend test as stipulated by UL .

The conductive property of copper material is good, so that its resistance value is much lower than other materials.The unique processing technology makes the copper layer and the steel layer perfectly fit.High temperature welding process makes it have superior corrosion resistance, and the maintenance cost is greatly reduced.Excellent materials and processing technology make it adaptable to different soil environments, greatly convenient installation and use.

The product has the electrical conductivity of copper and the tensile strength of steel. Since the copper layer and steel are bonded molecules, the copper layer is not easy to peel off and will not break during operation bending.
