Model RU (Integrated Inner/Outer Ring Type)

Since holes are drilled for mounting, the need for a presser flange and a housing is eliminated. Also, owing to the integrated inner/outer ring type structure with washer, there is almost no effect from installation on performance, allowing stable rotational accuracy and torque to be obtained.

An integrated inner/outer ring type that can be used for both inner ring rotation and outer ring rotation.

 

Model RB (Separable Outer Ring Type for Inner Ring Rotation)

Standard Model RB

Cross-Roller Ring basic type, with a separable outer ring, and an inner ring integrated with the main body. It is used in locations where the rotational accuracy of the inner ring is required.

It is used, for example, in the swivel portions of index tables of machine tools.

 

USP-Grade Series of Models RB and RE

The rotation accuracy of the USP-Grade Series achieves the ultra precision grade that surpasses the world's highest accuracy standards such as JIS Class 2, ISO Class 2, DIN P2 and AFBMA ABCE9.

 

Model RE (Two-piece Inner Ring Type for Outer Ring Rotation)

Standard Model RE

Main dimensions are the same as model RB. This model is used in locations where the rotational accuracy of the outer ring is required.

 

 

Model RA (Separable Outer Ring Type for Inner Ring Rotation)

A compact type similar to model RB with the thinnest possible inner and outer rings. Optimal for locations requiring a light-weight and compact design such as the swivel portions of robots and manipulators.

 

Model RA-C (Singe-Split Type)

The main dimensions are the same as that of model RA. Owing to its Single-split Outer Ring structure with a highly rigid outer ring, this model can be used for outer ring rotation.

 

 

TIMKEN TXR – Crossed Roller Bearings

 

A crossed roller bearing is two sets of bearing races and rollers brought together at right angles – with alternate rollers facing opposite directions – within a section height not much greater than that of a single bearing. The steep angle, tapered geometry of the bearing causes the load-carrying center of each of the races to be projected along the axis, resulting in a total effective bearing spread many times greater than the width of the bearing itself.

 

This type of bearing offers a high resistance to overturning moments. The normal design of the bearing is type TXRDO, which has a double outer race and two inner races, with rollers spaced by polymer separator

The crossed roller bearing is ideal for machine tool applications such as vertical boring mills, vertical grinding machines, and other similar applications.

NSK NRXT Bearing Table

Design

NSK Crossed Roller Bearings are thin-wall bearing consisting of an inner ring, a two-part outer ring, cylindrical rollers, and separators. The rollers are oriented at right angles to each other and kept apart by separators.

Compactness

Crossed Roller Bearings can sustain axial loads in both directions as well as radial loads and strong moment loads. Offering high load capacity within a light and compact envelope, they are widely used in the rotating joints of robots.

High Rigidity

Preloading the bearings increases rigidity and improves positioning accuracy. As a result, they are suitable for use as support bearings in indexing mechanisms and rotary tables—applications that require high rigidity.

Easy Handling

With their internal clearances factory-adjusted, NSK Crossed Roller Bearings can be installed directly without troublesome shim adjustment. Mounting is facilitated by the outer ring parts being inseparable.

Roller guide method

Crossed Roller Bearings include the type with cage, type with separator and full complement type. The type with cage and the type with separator have a small coefficient of friction and are suitable for comparatively high speed rotations, while the full complement type is suitable for heavy load applications at low speed rotations.

 

Seal structure

Crossed roller bearings include the open type and sealed type. The sealed type bearing incorporates seals made of special synthetic rubber that have excellent sealing performance against dust and dirt penetration and grease leakage.
