Graphite Petroleum Coke

Graphite petroleum coke is widely used in steelmaking industry and precision casting industry as a carburizing agent, foundry industry as a reducing and breeding agent, metallurgical industry as a reducing agent and as a refractory material. Graphite petroleum coke can promote the nucleation of steel. Graphitization in the liquid iron, increase the content of spherical graphite, improve the organization and grade of gray iron.

Characteristics

High carbon: 98.5-99.5% high purity
Low sulfur: 0.01%-0.05%. Low sulfur content and stable distribution, which can effectively reduce the adverse effect of sulfur on the alloy during spheroidization and gestation, and save cost.
Low Nitrogen: Nitrogen content 50 PPM ~ 300 PPM (0.005%-0.03%)
High carbon recovery: 92-98%.
Fast absorption: easily soluble in iron.
High graphite crystal nucleus, high degree of graphitization: it can reduce the tendency of iron liquid shrinkage and improve the mechanical properties of castings.
It can increase the amount of scrap steel, reduce the demand for pig iron, or even do not add pig iron. The effect of pig iron heredity on casting can be effectively avoided.
Carbon increase is stable, absorption rate is good, warming effect is remarkable: no return slag. It can effectively protect and extend the furnace life and reduce the consumption of furnace lining.

Applications

It can be used as a carbonizer (carburizing agent) to produce high quality steel, cast iron and alloys. It can also be used as an additive in plastics and rubber.
