Description:

Samcycline 30% LA is a amber clarified liquid

Pharmacology:

Oxytetracycline is derived from the metabolic activity of the actinomycete, Streptomyces rimosus. Oxytetracycline is an antimicrobial agent that is effective in the treatment of a wide range of diseases caused by susceptible gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria.The antibiotic activity of oxytetracycline is not appreciably diminished in the presence of body fluids, serum or exudates.

Indications:

Antibiotics. Mainly uses in to prevent and control the disease caused by mycoplasma in pig and birds. Such as pig’s asthma, chicken’s chronic respiratory disease (CRD), the infectious rhinitis and Mycoplasma hyorhinis, Mycoplasmose. Also uses in to treat the cattle’s mastitis, pneumonia, transportation fever, necrotic pododermatitis, as well as swine’s infectious pleuropneumonia, atrophic rhinitis and pig’s dysentery.

Target animal:

Cattle, camel, sheep and goats.

Dosage and administration:

Deep intramuscular injection.

Cattle, camel, sheep and goats:

Standard dose: 20 mg/kg (1ml/15kg)

High dose: 30 mg/kg (1ml/10kg)

Maximum recommended dosage at one site:

Cattle and camel: 10 ml

Sheep and goats: 5 ml

If concurrent treatment is administered,use a separate injection site.

Withdrawal times:

Discontinue treatment at least 28 days prior to slaughter of cattle. Not for use in lactating dairy animals.

Contra indications:

Do not use in cats, dogs, horses ,donkeys and lactating cows.

Hypersensitivity to Tetracyclines.
