Biconvex Lens
Product Description
What is Biconvex Lens?
Biconvex lens also known as double convex lens. A biconvex lens means that both surfaces of the lens are convex. Its focal length is positive and mainly for the function of focusing. It is commonly used in imaging relay system and object imaging at finite conjugate distance. The smaller the conjugate ratio is, the smaller the aberration will be. We can provide both coated and uncoated lenticular lenses
Biconvex lens as a simple lens, it has a wide range of applications including, but not limited to, focusing and control of laser beams, medium-quality imaging, and other optical instruments.
Ideally, the conjugation ratio (the ratio of image to object distance) will be between 0.2 and 5, and when the image and object distances from the lens are equal (conjugation ratio of 1:1), distortion, chromatic aberration and spherical image difference is minimized. Plano-convex lenses may be preferred when more distant objects must be imaged.
Oplens can not only customize the common plano-convex lens of N-BK7 or fused quartz, but also customize the biconvex lens of any glass material.
